JBI celebrates Vanuatu’s 40th anniversary of independence!

0001-01-01 Yumi JBI IMG_On July 23, 2020, the students from Joy Bible Institute joined the Victory Parade to celebrate Vanuatu’s 40th anniversary of independence. Their antiphonal calls of “Yumi!… 40!…Yumi!…40!” could be heard as they marched through the streets of Port Vila up to Indpendence Park.

The students carried a banner boldly proclaiming from Galatians 5:1, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.”

What a privilege to join in the celebration in recognition of the freedoms and responsibilities incumbent on us as citizens of Vanuatu and even more as citizens of the kingdom of God. “Long God yumi stanap!”

May the Lord continue to bless Vanuatu!

They were able to preach the Word each evening. They saw the Lord perform some remarkable healings and saw several people saved as a result of their ministry.

Many came to celebrate the event at Evangel Temple, Port Vila, Vanuatu:

Missionary Bryan Webb did a wonderful job of preaching to our graduates about walking worthy of the calling:

If you sense the call of God on your life and are serious about preparing to fulfill that call to ministry, coming to Joy Bible Institute may be the most important ministry decision you make. Pray about it. Think about it. Do something about it.
